He has been recognized as a Senior Researcher since 2001 and was appointed Full Professor at Havana University in 2018 and at the Latin American School of Medicine in 2019. His exceptional career also includes being named a Distinguished Professor-at-Large at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2018.
