Dr. Ruba Altahla earned her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Medicine from the Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji, in 2021. Prior to that, she completed a one-year diploma in Chinese language at the same institution in 2017. Dr. Altahla holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, which she obtained from Al-Baath University, Faculty of Health Science, in 2012.

 

Experience 

Dr. Ruba Altahla has extensive clinical experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation medicine. She completed her clinical training at Wuhan Tongji Hospital from September 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, she volunteered as a home-based care physical therapist with Mawadah Community Center and Al Baer Social Association, both funded by UNHCR, from June 2016 to July 2017. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Altahla has teaching experience at Al-Baath University, where she supervised practical sessions for courses including Physiology of the Neurological and Muscular Systems, Rehabilitation for Amputees, Electrotherapy, and Rehabilitation of Joint Diseases between 2013 and 2017. She also supervised practical sections in the Department of Chemistry during the 2013-2014 academic year. Dr. Altahla has attended several courses and conferences, including the International Computer Driving License (ICDL), an English language course, and international courses in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. She also completed a Clinical Applications of Epidemiology course in July 2021.
