Professor Amal Awad is a distinguished Professor of Bacteriology, Immunology, and Mycology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt, renowned for her expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, and infectious disease research. She earned her Ph.D., M.V.Sc., and B.V.Sc. in Bacteriology, Mycology, and Immunology from Mansoura University, where she graduated among the top of her class. Throughout her academic career, she has held progressive roles from Demonstrator to Professor, contributing extensively to research, teaching, and academic leadership. Her research focuses on the epidemiology, molecular characterization, and antimicrobial resistance of pathogenic bacteria, as well as vaccine development and nanotechnology-based antimicrobial strategies. Professor Awad has served as Principal Investigator for multiple funded projects addressing Clostridium perfringens and Campylobacter jejuni infections and has published extensively in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed. She is a committed educator with significant contributions to curriculum development, student mentorship, and quality assurance in veterinary education. In recognition of her scientific excellence, she has received numerous institutional honors, serves on departmental and faculty councils, and holds memberships in professional and quality committees. Her editorial and peer-review activities further underscore her leadership and commitment to advancing microbiological sciences and public health through innovative research and academic excellence.
